Today I took a time out. Outside of showering I didn't do anything productive. This is not to brag or boast about doing nothing. This is to let you know that I needed a time out so I took it. There was a time that I would've needed a break and would not have taken it. This is no longer true. I now understand the need to protect my mental wellness. I don't feel guilty about taking a time out. I feel better. This year I have worked hard to maintain a sense of wellness. That is why I chose instead of becoming agitated with others, overly emotional, and/ or drained I would take a much needed time out. Only you can decide what you need or if you are going to meet your needs. I just wanted to encourage you that if you need a break at any point to please take it.
